Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is one aspect of labor protection and is a basic right of every worker. Therefore, under any circumstances OSH must be carried out in accordance with national and international regulations and standards. The implementation of OSH is the responsibility of all parties, especially the industrial community. Thus, all relevant parties are obliged to play an active role according to their functions and authorities to carry out various efforts in the field of OSH continuously and continuously and make K3 as part of the work culture to prevent cases of accidents and occupational diseases.

Since 1984, with the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Manpower Number KEP.13/MEN/1984 concerning the Pattern of the National OSH Campaign until 1992, the government together with stakeholders have made intensive efforts to promote OSH through National OSH Campaign for 1 (one) month, known as National OSH Month (Bulan K3 Nasional).
